on certainty 386



386. Anyone who says, with Moore, that he knows that so and so …– gives the degree of certainty that something has for him. And it is important that this degree has a maximum value.



certainty in terms of degrees –

is uncertainty

and yes it is important

that this has the maximum value

anything less indicates –

falsity

indicates –

pretense
