on certainty 316

316. And isn’t it the same as if the pupil were to hold up his history lesson with doubts as to whether the earth really…?



perhaps the teacher could say –

‘fair question –

but for the arguments sake –

let’s assume that the earth really …’ –

and see where we can go with that –

we will address your question –

and any other question of that type –

at another time’
