548. A child must learn the use of colour
words before it can ask for the name of a colour.
to learn the use of colour words – is to
learn to name colours –
if a child asks for the name of a colour –
it does so because – it doesn’t know what
the appropriate usage is –
or it is uncertain – as to the appropriate usage
