554. In its language-game it is not
presumptuous. There it has no higher position than, simply the human language
game. For there it has its restricted application.
But as soon as I say this sentence outside
its context, it appears in a false light. For then it is as if I wanted to
insist that there are things that I know. God himself can’t say anything to me about
them.
