521. Moore’s mistake lies in this – countering the assertion that one cannot know that, by saying “I do know it”.



knowledge is uncertain –

if you understand this –

then there are no mistakes –

there is no right or wrong –

all you have is proposals

proposals for dealing with the unknown

the question is one of circumstance –

whether a proposal works or not –

and here there is no certainty

we make decisions –

and our decisions – like our proposals –

are open to question –

open to doubt
