on certainty 101

101. Such a proposition might be e.g. “My body has never disappeared and reappeared again after an interval”

yes – you can make this assertion –

‘my body has never disappeared and reappeared again after an interval’ –

and as with any assertion –

it’s open to question – open to doubt –

uncertain

if you claim to know this proposition

in the way that Moore claims to know –

you claim an authority for it –

the only authority – is authorship

authorship does not guarantee the proposition –

it’s irrelevant to the logical status of the proposition

and any claim of authority –

other than authorship –

is logically baseless
