on certainty 82

82. What counts as an adequate test of a statement belongs to logic. It belongs to the description of the language-game.

the adequate test of a statement –

will just be –

whatever it is decided –

is an adequate test

it is essentially a contingent matter –

really a question of circumstance –

and for that reason –

uncertain

if logic is a description –

of what you do –

of how you use statements –

yes –

the test – described –

belongs to logic –

bear in mind though –

logic –

as with any description –

or any framework of description –

any use of language –

is  open to question –

open to doubt –

is uncertain
